About the Item
Vermeil Carved Moss-in-Snow Jade Brooch/Pin. The Jade is bright green on the top left side and the rest of the jade is white with hints of green, hence moss-in-snow jade. The motif is flowers and leaves with the surrounding silver in a dimpled pattern. Stamped on the back are the words "Sterling" and "Ming's".
Ming’s opened in Hawaii in the 1940’s by Wook Moon, retail stores were also in San Fransisco and New York.
Ming’s became a favorite staple in Hawaiian jewelry as it often featured beautiful Hawaiian and Asian cultural themes delicately carved in jade.
