Victorian 18 Carat Gold Pearl Brooch and Pendant, circa 1880
About the Item
A very pretty and dainty Victorian 18ct gold pearl rhomboid shaped brooch dating from circa 1880. The masterfully crafted brooch is set with a boarder of well matched split pearls all of which are original, around a central carved pearl panel which gives a beautiful silvery iridescence. Most likely a mourning piece the brooch can also be affixed to chain or worn alone as a small pendant using the loop to the reverse. A wonderful antique brooch with lots of period charm.
