Victorian 1.88ct Diamond Brooch, c.1860s
About the Item
A marvellous period piece, this hand crafted brooch dates to the reign of Queen Victoria. At its centre sits a 0.80 carat old cushion cut diamond, set into silver and surrounded by a flower design with a further twelve old cut diamonds. The central flower design is then encircled by an 15 carat yellow gold disc, set with a further sixteen diamonds and finished with vivid blue enamel. A total 1.08 carat of diamonds are found over these adornments, with all matching in quality at G in colour and SI1 in clarity.
