Victorian Antique Cameo Shell Brooch Lady Wearing Pearls Circa 1890 18ct Gold
About the Item
We call this Unique Piece, 'The Lady Wearing Pearls’.
This is a quality antique Cameo brooch that is nicely carved to depict an elegant lady wearing a pearl necklace and earrings. Her curls are upswept and held with a little flower. Cira 1890 she is late Victorian and quite enchanting.
The setting is unmarked but it tests 18ct gold. It is handmade with a rope accent. The hinge is in very good condition and the pin secures firmly. It has a safety chain so you can wear this piece without concern of loss.
This is a particularly nice sized Cameo measuring approximately 4cms x 3cms so it is perfect to wear both night and day and it sits nicely on a polo neck jumper, or a lapel.
The brooch was purchased from an antique fair on a trip to the UK and being a hand carved, unique item, it cannot be repeated.
Please note that the box pictured in this listing is not included in the sale. However, the brooch will be sent in a modern box for presentation.
