A Magnificent late Victorian diamond-set butterfly brooch, the brooch in the form of a butterfly, the body, pierced wings and head set throughout with old brilliant- and rose-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of 15 carats, with ruby eyes, all set in silver to a yellow gold mount and brooch fitting, circa 1890, measuring approximately 7.1x4cm, gross weight 18.2 grams. This gorgeous butterfly brooch comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This brooch is in the shape of a lovely butterfly modelled from silver and yellow gold, set throughout with a combined weight of 15 carats of dazzling diamonds. A stunning Victorian 0.59 carat ruby and 0.08 carat diamond, 22 karat yellow gold and silver set 'snake' brooch; part of our diverse antique jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive Victorian brooch has been crafted in 22k yellow gold with a silver setting. The brooch has been modelled in the form of a snake, twisted and entwined around itself. The head of the snake is ornamented with a feature 22k yellow gold bezel set cushion cut ruby. This Victorian snake brooch is just beautiful. It has pink and Blue stones detailed and chased with scroll work completely detailed on the front with a smooth back. I rarely find chased and detailed snake brooch such as this. The brooch is beautiful one of the nicest I have found because most snake brooches are smooth not detailed with chase work. I was going to put this on a chain to wear as a necklace but I decided to leave that up to the next owner. This Victorian Snake Brooch is 4.5cm long by 2.5cm wide and a depth of 1 3/4.
