Antique enamel bug brooch. Set to centre with five round rose cut diamonds in closed back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.05 carats, further set with a single round old cut ruby in a closed back grain setting with an approximate weight of 0.02 carats, encircled by twenty nine pearls in closed back grain settings, all to a circular enamelled brooch, featuring a bug motif, stylised claws and closed backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure hinge pin. Tested yellow gold, English, circa 1890.
