This brooch features a stunning yellowish-gray cat-eye chrysoberyl cabochon in the center: a precious phenomenon gemstone that displays a line in the center of the stone when exposed to light. Here we have a very well made, antique, pin/brooch that was crafted in France from solid 18k gold and silver during the Victorian era. The brooch features a large beetle design that shows incredible detail and is neatly set with fine stones throughout. The beetles' wings are constructed from polished, custom cut, garnets that are well matched showing a deep, dark, red color bringing a truly rich look to this piece.
