Victorian Gold Diamond Ram's Head Pin
About the Item
Elegantly curved ram's head pin measuring a discreet 1 1/8" x 1 1/8" (30 cm x 30 cm) crafted in 15 karat gold. The body is set with six small round old cut diamonds evenly spaced throughout the body, total weight approximately 1/3 carat. Squiggle shaped antique catch at the back, and the jewel could certainly be used as a pendant as well. We particularly like the patrician look on the ram's face; it reminded us of similar ones we've seen in exhibits at museums, plus it's so indicative of Victorian jewels' penchant for emulating Greek and Roman motifs from centuries before.
