A fine and impressive vintage 0.14 carat diamond and 0.03 carat ruby, 18 karat gold brooch; part of our diverse gemstone jewellery collections. This fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The brooch has been modelled in the form of a simplified seated figure dressed in Chinese attire, singing and playing an accordion. The accordion has extended bellows and is ornamented with five individually collet set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds to each handpiece. The figure's convex spherical head is ornamented with two transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds replicating the eyes, in addition to a round faceted cut ruby representing the character's mouth. The accordionist is wearing a plain cross brace to the torso, with a horizontal ribbed texture beneath. The seated Chinaman character is supported by impressive rope twist decorated strands, conjoined to provide a rounded, textured border. An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage 0.20 carat diamond, 0.20 carat ruby, 0.21 carat sapphire, hot enamel and 18 karat yellow gold dragon brooch; part of our diverse jewelry collections This exceptional, fine and impressive vintage gold brooch has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The brooch has been modelled in the form of a dragon with textured ornamentation in yellow gold to represent to dragon's scales. The lower portion of the dragon's body is ornamented with impressive textured hot enamel decoration in tones of green and yellow. The impressive brooch is further ornamented with a yellow gold bouquet of flowers held in the dragon's mouth. The flowers are each represented by an individually claw set gemstone; a combination of impressive modern brilliant cut diamonds, round faceted rubies and round faceted sapphires. The dragon's eye is represented by a circular panel of black enamel. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged double pin and push fit safety clasp. The exceptional brooch is hallmarked to the reverse of the setting with the 18k gold fineness mark - 750 - and the Italian town and maker's mark for Alessandria (494 AL).
