Vintage Tsavorite, Diamond & Ruby Salamander long Brooch.
About the Item
18K, white diamond, bright green natural Tsavorite and ruby set in a realistic long salamander vintage brooch well made in 18K and silver.
34 well matched and finely cut diamonds are estimated to weigh 1.0 cts. They are surrounded by pave set fine natural Tsavorite stones, all a bright lime green color. This brooch is 3 5/8th inches in length. The piece is marked 18K on the verso. The salamander's eyes are natural red rubies.
The pinstem is well made and self locking, it's curve matches the lizard's long body.
The salamander, symbolizes passion, immortality, and rebirth. Interestingly, as early as the 16th century the salamander represented a lover's burning desire. Today, it can be all those as well as a cute passenger on your attire.
