Art Deco Crystal and Diamond Dress Set
About the Item
An Art-Deco crystal and diamond dress set, the set consisting of a pair of cufflinks, two shirt studs and four waistcoat buttons, all of square engraved frosted rock crystal, set with old-cut diamond to the centre, the diamonds estimated to weigh 0.50 carats in total, all mounted in white gold, circa 1930, later hallmarked 18ct gold, London, the large links measuring approximately 1.1 x 1.1cm, the shirt studs measuring approximately 0.6 x 0.6cm, gross weight 13.4 grams.
This elegant dress set comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This set was made in the early twentieth century and features cufflinks, shirt studs, and buttons. The set is matching, and each piece is crafted from rock crystal with a frosted finish set with a glinting old-cut diamond. This dress set is sophisticated and subtle.
