About the Item

Stunning Imperial Russian cufflinks featuring a silver crown holding five rose-cut diamonds and two cabochon-cut sapphires on a white guilloché field. These cufflinks were made in St. Petersburg around the turn of the 20th Century by Fabergé workmaster August Hollming. Rendered in 14K rose gold, each cufflink has a silver border inset with 28 small, rose-cut diamonds. The fluted baton backs hold an additional two cabochon-cut sapphires and are joined to the cufflinks faces by rose gold chains. The cufflink faces measure 21.1mm in diameter and the fluted baton backs are 19mm in length. Each cufflink has a 56 zolotnik Imperial Russian mark indicating solid, 14K gold, as well as Cyrillic marks A*H for Fabergé workmaster August Hollming. Together the cufflinks weigh a substantial 19.60 grams. They are in excellent antique condition, showing only a very light patina. The beautiful design, workmanship, and rarity of cufflinks by August Hollming would make these a very special gift or addition to one's collection.
