SUPER SEVEN CUFFLINKS ON CACTUS QUARTZ
Studio Greytak’s Super Seven Cufflinks on Cactus Quartz show off some of nature’s most powerful pairings. On one side, seven of the most sacred stones, including the rare and powerful mineral cacoxenite and the highly spiritual amethyst, combine to connect one to all aspects of the universe. On the other side, ultra-serene zoisite swirls throughout the passionate ruby to foster perspective in even the most challenging of situations. Two ancient stones of abundance, peridot and citrine, complete these stunning cufflinks.
A base of dazzling cactus quartz balances the powerful energy of the piece. The tiny crystals form perfect, raised triangles called “record keepers” that store the wisdom of the ages and the secrets of the universe. Gold leaf delicately wraps the crystals and brings the radiance of the sun.
Amethyst cacoxenite, or the Super Seven stone, is gathered from an iron-rich region deep in the heart of Brazilian mining country known as Espirito Santo—the Holy Spirit. The fluctuating temperatures and pressures in this earthen crucible pulled together seven metaphysically powerful minerals, creating a stone that lifts the consciousness to higher levels and reveals the path to enlightenment.
Under the rarest of conditions in only one place on the planet, soft, earthy zoisite melds with fiery, diamond-hard rubies to create one of the most beautiful gems on earth. The ancient, blood-red stone allows itself to be crossed with swirls of green, creating ruby-zoisite, a surprisingly harmonious stone that encourages one to channel the biggest emotions and approach life with joy and appreciation.
Peridot and citrine are a powerful combination that both draw on the energy of the sun. Peridot has been prized since the earliest civilizations for its ability to drive away the forces of darkness and replace them with inner warmth, well-being, and contentment. Citrine is called the light maker for its sunny color and its ability to clear the mind and spark imagination.
The Book of Stones describes cactus quartz as a “hundred voice choir singing in harmony.” The main crystals form when silica-laden water crystallizes inside a host rock. The distinctive cactus-like druzy forms later, in a second crystallization period. Quartz is well-known for its power as an amplifier of other minerals’ effects.
