Singularity Earings with 2.5 ct Amethysts, 0.1 ct Diamonds on 18k White Gold
About the Item
These innovative and contemporary earrings created by architect-designer Michel Tortel for QITTERI are a tribute to simplicity. They tell the story of the asymmetrical love affair between diamond and amethyst.
The 2.45 and 2.52 carat amethysts have a deep China night colour and a VVS purity. Their royal round cut is 9.1 x 9.1 x 5.3 mm. They are accompanied by two M colour diamonds of 0.12 and 0.10 carats in round brilliant cut of 3.2 x 3.2 x 1.9 mm and 2.85 x 2.82 x 1.9 mm of SI1 clarity.
Crafted in 3.05 grams of 18 karat white rhodium-plated gold, the design is architecturally minimalist to allow light and colour to shine through.
The design combines these exceptional amethysts with unique diamonds as a counterpoint to contemplate the dialogue of light between the two stones. This design goes against the tradition of the abundance of diamonds that usually surround the centre stones and fade away to leave only a set of sparkles,
The writing is pure and simple, yet elegant and refined, allowing the stones to be seen from all sides and thus revealing their play of colour and light. These earrings with a timeless design are asymmetrical, they can be worn in one direction or another.
This model, like its main stones, is unique. It can be worn with the Singularity rings, whose colours have been harmonised to form a magnificent complete set.
