About the Item
This ring by designer Michel Tortel for QITTERI is an ode to simplicity, presenting the asymmetrical love affair between diamond and rubellite tourmaline in beautiful vertical clarity.
The 6.72 carat rubellite tourmaline has a deep pink red colour and a IF purity. Its perfect royal round cut is 11.0 x 11.0 x 8.2 mm. It is accompanied by a 0.24 carat H colour diamond in round brilliant cut, size 3.83 x 3.83 x 2.42 mm with SI1 clarity.
Set in 3.36 grams of 18 karat rhodium-plated white gold, the design is architectural and minimalist in order to transmit light and colour.
The design combines this exceptional tourmaline with a unique diamond as a counterpoint to contemplate the dialogue of light between the two stones. This design goes against the tradition of an abundance of diamonds that usually surround the centre stones and fade away to leave only a set of sparkles,
The writing is pure and simple, yet elegant and refined, allowing the stones to be seen from all sides and thus revealing their play of colour and light. This ring with a timeless design is asymmetrical, it can be worn in one direction or another.
