About the Item
This ring by architect-designer Michel Tortel for QITTERI reveals the diamond in an innovative design where it becomes a punctuation mark, a breath of fresh air in an exceptional 8.75 carat tourmaline with blue-green tones.
The 8.75 carat Tourmaline, whose colour evokes that of the lagoons at daybreak, has a VVS purity. It comes from a deposit in Afghanistan. Its perfect emerald cut is 13.4 x 9.3 x 7.2 mm. It is accompanied by a 0.36 carat round brilliant cut diamond of H colour, size 4.56 x 4.58 x 2.82 mm, clarity VS2.
Fashioned in 9.65 grams of 18 carat white rhodium-plated gold, the design was conceived to vibrate and transmit light and colour.
Its design associates an exceptional stone with a unique diamond as a counterpoint so that the eye can finally see and savour this masterful dialogue between the diamond and a precious stone, in contrast to a tradition of an abundance of diamonds that surround the centre stones and fade away to leave only a set of sparkles,
A simple, refined and timeless design that allows the stones to be seen from all sides and thus reveals their play of colour and light. This ring is asymmetrical, it can be worn in one direction or another.
This model, like its main stone, is unique. It can be adjusted for sizes not too far from 54 which is its current size.
