About the Item

Oval shaped earrings designed by Dinh Van for Cartier. Very rare vintage pieces made in Paris, France at the end of the 1960's. This earrings was crafted in 18 karats yellow gold and .900/.999 platinum. They are suited at the reverse, with adjustable omega backs for fastening clips. The center platinum settings are mounted with a French pave of 80 round brilliant cuts diamonds, 3.04 carats, E/F color, VS-1 clarity. Have a combined weight of 19.95 grams and a measures of 17 mm by 20 mm. Stamped, with the serial numbers, the assay hallmarks and signed, "CARTIER 18 KT IRID PLAT 84095". Jean Dinh Van is a French designer that began is successful career in the 1960 designing for the French jewelry houses of Cartier and Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he started his own company and the followed years his revolutionary designs and style caught on quickly and launched him to the forefront of the jewelry and fashion world. All his designs are very geometric and modern, both, his original vintage pieces created for Cartier and the contemporary creations are highly collectible. Dinh Van pieces are very fashionable, sophisticate and easy to wear, also can be displayed as a small toys, sculptures and "Objects du Vertu". Note: We have not been able to locate another pair like this, only similar rings with the oval shape. They are in perfect condition and are accompanied by the designer's jewelry box.
