Geometric ring designed by Jean Dinh Van for Cartier.
A beautiful and very sophisticated design created by the artist and jewelry designer Jean Dinh Van for the Parisian jewelry house of Cartier, back in the 1970's. This beautiful ring is very rare and has been crafted with sculptural geometric patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. This piece blends perfectly with the geometric motif so dear to the Maison of Dinh Van. and Cartier back in the 1970.
Weight: 9.85 grams, (6.32 Dwt.).
Size: 5.5 and may be resized in request.
Measurements: 24 mm by 13 mm by 3 mm (0.95 x 0.52 x 0.12 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks; the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold, the five digits serial numbers and signed in full, "CARTIER ©DINH VAN 18KT 38349".
Jean Dinh Van
He is a French designer, that was born in 1927 from a French-Vietnamese family. His successful career started behind the workbench at the French jewelry house of Cartier in 1946 and then work for Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he started his own company and the followed years his revolutionary designs and style caught on quickly and launched him to the forefront of the jewelry and fashion world. All his designs are very geometric and modern, both, his original vintage pieces created for Cartier and the contemporary creations are highly collectible. Dinh Van pieces are very fashionable, sophisticate and easy to wear, also can be displayed as a small toys, sculptures and "Object's du Vertu". Since Jean Dinh Van, the first Parisian minimalist jeweler, left Cartier and opened his own shop at la Place Vendome in 1965, the brand has established itself as one of the premiere Parisian jewelers. He created timeless, show-stopping designs, such as this incredible lapis ring, that will make you stand out from the crowd.
