Cartier Style Emerald Cut Sapphire Crystal Brooch, Ear Crawler Demi Parure–1950s
About the Item
Though it is over a half century old, this exquisite earring and brooch set is as chunky, relevant and wearable as any modern costume jewelry. Fiery and brilliant, their centerpieces are their single emerald-cut crystals, which resemble Cartier gemstones. The surrounding light and dark blue faceted rhinestones gather and reflect further light for a set of remarkable glamour and substance.
Curved ear crawlers featuring ¾” emerald-cut crystals surrounded by 4 and 6 mm faceted blue rhinestones; clip backs. Matching solitaire brooch with 1 1/8” wide emerald-cut crystal surrounded by 4 mm faceted blue rhinestones; rollover safety clasp.
**please note: when light is shone through from behind, brooch crystal is a brighter, more vibrant blue than large crystals in earrings, but this color difference is virtually eliminated when brooch is worn. This suggests the earrings and brooch were a mismatched set, but the color inconsistencies are so negligible when brooch is worn that we have chosen to keep them together.
