About the Item

Zolotas Vintage Diamond and Ruby Mythical Mycenaen Lion Mask Earrings in 18K Yellow and White Gold, Greece, 1970s. Each carved lion’s head is accented by circular-shape ruby eyes and a rose-cut diamond collar set in white gold, issuing a textured coiled spiral with a Florentine finish depicting naturalistic fur to the yellow gold body. This pair of earrings is secured to reverse with a clip fitting, making it ideal for both pierced and non-pierced ears. Zolotas is the oldest Greek jeweler founded in 1895 by Efthimios Zolotas. Diamonds: 10 stones; rose-cut; estimated 0.10ct total. Rubies: 4 stones; circular-shape; estimated 0.06ct total. Maker’s mark for Zolotas, stamped “47”, stamped “750” for 18kt gold, another indistinct mark. Dimensions: 2.7 x 2.7 cm. Gross weight: 31.17g.
