Antique French Gothic Revival Dangle Earrings Garnets Silver Silver Gilt
About the Item
These wonderful chunky dangle earrings were handcrafted in France in the 1840's. The earrings are designed as two small ovals in the shape of sweets or beans. From these two larger oval have been suspended. The edges of the larger oval elements are decorated with a rocaille pattern in relief. The top elements are decorated with four flowers each. Both elements are covered by a regular pattern created by a graver. The top elements are decorated with cup settings. The cups have ondulated edges. The settings hold three facetted round garnets with large tables.
