About the Item
A gorgeous pair of antique Victorian lovers knot earrings.
The lovers knot has become such a revered symbol in Victorian jewellery, a romantic sentiment also known as the true love knot is a symbol of a couples strong bond to one another.
These beautiful earrings are crafted in rich 15ct yellow gold, the body of the earrings made up from two different styles, the intricate gold knot suspended from the top with a gold, diamond studded sphere suspended from the knot section.
The knot is enamelled in a rich cobalt blue enamel and this enamel can also be found at the back of the sphere, the sphere drop has a front band of sparkling rose cut diamonds giving the most wonderful twinkle on movement.
They have gold ear wire fittings for pierced ears.
Such a beautiful and unusual pair of antique earrings, there is just so much detail on this pair and they really are truly exceptional in design and craftsmanship.
No jewellery box is complete without a good pair of antique drop earrings and these make a wonderful gift for the lover of antique jewels.

Victorian era, c1870s, unmarked, electronically test as 15ct gold.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use, air hole found on each sphere from manufacture.
