About the Item

A vibrant pair of floral earrings masterfully created entirely by hand. Each earring features a perfect petal from a real orchid, which has been transformed to preserve its beauty for eternity. The orchid petals are approximately 4.7 centimetres wide and 7.8 centimetres long and their delicate colours range from a deep mauve at the edges to a butter yellow. The veins of the petal are pronounced and reminiscent of a butterfly's wings. At the ear a violet-coloured jade stone is framed with tsavorites and white diamonds. And as though it has just alighted on each petal, a diamond and orange sapphire-covered dragonfly has paused, its soft yellow body and white wings are still only for amoment before it flies off again. Capturing a moment of beauty for eternity, these floral and fauna-inspired post back earrings are vibrant in their use of real flower petals, detail and incredible colours. The total weight of white diamonds equals 0.20 carats, and the sapphires total 0.54, tsavorites 0.20. Designed and hand-made at FANCS V in the heart of Sicily's capital city, Palermo. FANCS V is a three-generation Sicilian family jeweler that is now owned and run by husband and wife team, Simona Elia and Natale Vitale. Created by Natale's grandfather, FANCS V now features designs by Simona, who is a Milanese sculptor. Today, FANCS V defines itself as a couturier of jewels and Simona and Natale produce both custom pieces for clients as well as their signature collections.
