Shooting Star Dangle Earrings in 14 Karat with Diamonds
About the Item
Celestial moon shaped earrings made in 14k rose gold with diamonds dangle, sway and sparkle. The lunar shape is a 2” dangle from the earring itself. Total length of the earring is 2.34". There are nine round diamonds per earring. There are two - 2.2 mm stones and one, 2.5mm. And there are six tiny 1.3mm stones. They represent stars in the sky! The tiny diamonds are flush set and the larger ones, prong set. The interlocking spiral design of the filigree keeps the earrings lightweight and comfortable to wear. The design was based on the images of the amazing spiral nebulae photographed by Nasa's Hubble and Chandra telescopes.
A leverback earring is standard in the design, but French wire can be used as a replacement.
This pair of earrings is in 14k rose gold, but they can be ordered in yellow or white gold with other gemstones or colored diamonds. This same design is available in silver. (Through 1stDibs). Martha Seely Design is a small design studio that creates one-of-a-kind and custom crafted fine production jewelry. The jewelry lines from Martha Seely reflect a personal vision and a clean, modern perspective. Her studio offers seven collections, each representing the incredible universe in which we live. The jewelry is designed in the USA and artisan-made, using some of the world’s most beautiful jewels and pearls. The manufacturing is ethical, the metals recycled and stones conflict-free. Before becoming a jewelry designer, Martha spent many years as a costume designer and wardrobe stylist for theater, film, and television. She earned her MFA in Costume Design from Carnegie Mellon University. After years of creating clothes for commercials, television shows, and independent movies, she wanted to express herself, designing for no other reason than to create something beautiful to wear. She turned her talents to accessories, something more intimate than outerwear. This time, her unique designs are from the heart. This time, her unique designs were from the heart, not just for a commercial project. Her work uses the oldest traditions of jewelry-making combined with the newest technologies (computer-aided design) to create her line of chic, sophisticated and wearable jewelry.
