About the Item
These kettlebell drop earrings are from Agaro Jewels' whimsical Bloom collection. All Agaro jewelry is entirely handmade, engraved and enameled with hot fired glass enamel using an ancient 17th century jewelry making art from the ateliers of the Mughal Court. The jewelry that was produced in these Mughal courts was always made using gold at its very purest (22K and higher), delicately wrought and brilliantly fused with magnificent meenakari, or enameling. It was said even Paris could not paint gold to the standard produced within these Mughal ateliers.
Today, Agaro jewelry is made using these same traditions and techniques passed down through generations. The Agaro artisans, many of whom can trace their families back to the Mughal ateliers, create heirloom pieces with detailed enameling on hand wrought 22K gold. Breaking the monotony of solids with the hammer of quirkiness, the pastel oomph these bi-coloured tourmalines is mismatched with bloomy birds and disparate chirps of fine brushes. In glass enamel combined with the buttery texture of hand-polished 22K gold, these whimsical drops offers an ordinary everyday essential.. only in the most extraordinary way!
