Eighteen Karat Gold Floral Earrings with Diamonds and Detachable Green Quartzes
About the Item
This is a piece from the collection designed by Berlin-based oil painter Polya Medvedeva, which was featured in a review in Vogue UA. The earrings are made of 18 karat yellow gold and are encrusted with 6 round diamonds, along with detachable cabochon prasiolites (green quartz) which can be taken on or off. This versatility makes the earrings a many-in-one piece, as you can replace the cabochon drops with other gems or wear them in a simpler everyday version without the drops. We use top natural diamonds VS, F-G, and we work with a German gems company that has been in the market since the 19th century.
The sculptural design of the earrings provides an extra shiny surface of the flowers and a subtle play of shadow and light. The diamonds add delicate sparkle to the earrings, while the cabochon drops allow for light to pass through.
Compared to the classical Plum Blossom earrings, the difference with this edition is the number of flowers. All of them can be worn without cabochons and fit well for both daytime or nighttime events. The drops can be replaced with other gems like tanzanite, lemon quartz, garnet, rose quartz, which can be ordered separately in the future.
The plum flowers symbolize the energy of life, and the trees are known to blossom in winter, particularly in the middle of February.
