A pair of cultured pearl and diamond drop earrings, each earring consisting of a freshwater cultured pearl drop measuring approximately 9.5 x 7mm, attached to diamond-set foliate cap, surmounted by round and marquise shape diamond-set line, suspended from a diamond-set semicircle to a diamond-set marquise-shaped top, all diamonds estimated to weigh 0.25 carats in total, millegrain set in white gold mount with post and scroll fittings, hallmarked 18ct gold, London 2019, measuring 3.5 x 0.7cm, gross weight 4.82 grams.
This pair of earrings is new.
A feminine pair of pearl and diamond earrings. These earrings feature two freshwater cultured pearl drops attached to diamond-set foliate caps. The sparkling foliate caps are surmounted by round and marquise shape tops, the length and intricacy of which give the earrings an ethereal quality. The design of the earrings is reminiscent of Edwardian period jewellery designs, which often featured delicate foliate motifs and millegrain borders. Such jewellery was deeply intricate and served as a move against machine-made pieces, drawing inspiration from the 18th century. These earrings are on sale at Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, and would be perfect for a bride to wear on her wedding day.
