Natural Australian 8.21ct Boulder Opal Dangle Earrings in 18K Yellow Gold
About the Item
“La Vida Dulce” opal earrings seduce with vibrant colours and the alluring sway of delicate gold chains. Boulder opals (8.21ct) are set in 18K yellow gold – the host rock peeping through adds to the rawness of the piece and gives it an edge. A cheeky flirtation between the Renaissance and the Baroque; this is the perfect gift for the playful fashionista. Designed by Renata Bernard.
The gemstones at the centre of these opal earrings are Australian boulder opals from Winton opal fields in Queensland, Australia. Their distinctive quality is their "play of colour," a phenomenon which manifests in opals' colours shifting and changing as the gems move. Australian opals, in general, are the quality benchmark in the world family of opals for their durability and beauty. These particular opals display all the colours of the rainbow, dominated by red and green in pin and galaxy patterns. The host rock showing through the colour adds to the pieces' rawness and excitement.
