Rochfort Fine Jewellery is a specialised business in traditional jewellery manufacture located in Rochfort Hall, Sydney, Australia. Lisa Rochfort, Creative Director, has a well established history for the design of couture manufacture and limited edition ready to wear collections including the recently released 'Blossom' collection. "My passion is that of jewellery and its’ history of manufacture. The making of jewellery beings emotively, provoked by the beauty and reverence of the world in which we live, and our ability to encapsulate this by way of totems. The dream of a visionary, the line of a draftsman, the direction of a designer, the technique of a jeweller, the feel of a setter, the confidence of a carver and the story that is told. When working by hand, using handmade tools and dyes it is to be noted that experience can require 20 years or more, before a hand can be recognised for “true technique”. It is to be said that there is a ‘sweet spot’, a period in which the artisan in combination of trades work in absolute harmony and create the most arresting jewellery, the kind of which can bind families together for centuries."
