About the Item

A stunning, fine and impressive pair of vintage Italian 1.90 carat ruby and 2.20 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow stud earrings; part of our diverse vintage ruby jewellery collections These fine and impressive vintage ruby earrings have been crafted in 18k yellow gold with 18k white gold fastenings. The organic shaped earrings are each ornamented with a feature pear faceted cut ruby, collet claw set to the upper portion. The rubies each surmount four individually claw set marquise cut diamonds, in a splayed formation. The earrings, for pierced ears, secure to the reverse with an 18k white gold post and hinged clip fastening. The interior of the hinged latch is hallmarked with the 18k gold fineness mark 750, the Italian town mark for Alessandria (star 2136, AL) and the French import gold mark (owl); the owl mark is used for finished articles brought into France to be examined by the French assay office. The vintage ruby and diamond earring settings have been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18k gold. These impressive earrings are supplied with an IDGL diamond and gemstone grading report card. Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone. Condition These fine earrings are excellent quality, set with impressive rubies displaying fine colour, brilliance and presence. The impressive well colour matched diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance. The earrings are an excellent gauge of gold and are in excellent condition, with clear hallmarks to the hinged clips. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine vintage ruby and diamond earrings.
