Glowing Blue Purple Natural Amethyst Faceted from Our Rough
About the Item
Our Favorite Amethyst Type and another example of our Unique/Fine Amethyst, which has a velvety purple with lots of blue under certain lights. A Royal Purple with Glowing Blue Highlights. This is an 8.57ct Round - our first round faceted in this material from our rough. Rounds can be difficult to obtain in some gem species. Rounds are a popular shape and this is a wonderful unique glowing color for Amethyst.
The locality from which this rough originated hasn't been producing for some time - also, the price has doubled. For us to purchase a similarly colored Amethyst, already faceted, from our old sources, those prices have doubled, so dealers just have to pay the new prices. We have been fortunate since we had access to some choice rough and we faceted gemstones as well as send them out to other facetors - Many of our gemstones are faceted by Multi-Award Winning U.S. Facetors.
We do have a few more of this material faceted and the last 7 piece of rough has been sent out to one of our specialty cutters - we hope to have them back in a month or so. However, since this material is really not available on the market and the prices have doubled (if not gone up even more since we last saw the rough), it is unlikely that we will obtain more in the future.
