Estate A. Jeschel Asian motif jade, Keshi pearl and tiger's eye statement necklace.
The central jade pendant depicting Guan Yin, the Goddess of compassion and wisdom, with a profusion of beautiful Keshi pearls in cloud-like formations above, joined together with elongated barrell shaped Tibetan style Dzi beads and ending in a silver mounted tiger's eye clasp of a seated Bodhisattva. Lovely natural inclusions in the jade and tiger's eye gems. A wonderful one-of-a-kind conversation piece.
Length: 22.5 inches
Pendant: 2.63 inches by 1.5 inches including bale
Dzi beads: 1.25 inches by .5 inches
Pearls: 12-20mm
Clasp: 1.63 inches by .94 inches
Both the pendant and the clasp are sterling silver mounted, marked 925, the pendant aslo signed with the initials KH
Provenance: from the estate of a notable New York City psychiatrist and collector of unique, one-of-a-kind jewels.
