A magical piece of vintage Italian wearable art. A Vintage Coppola et Toppo Necklace. Brother and sister jewelry designers Bruno Coppola and Lyda Toppo formed their highly acclaimed and written about company 'Coppola e Toppo' in the late 1940's in Milan. As well as their eponymous brand 'Coppola e Toppo, Made In Italy' they also designed for premier couture houses including Dior, Balenciaga and Elsa Schiaparelli earlier in their careers. This particular piece features the most gorgeous turuqoise blue glass beads, typically gradated in colour, in a torsade style double loop front. Finished to perfection with the trademark C&T heart shaped embroidered clasp. In very good original vintage condition, signed, approx. 39-45cms long. This is one of those pieces that to appreciate fully it has to be handled. The detailed craftsmanship and the overall style impact is nothing short of exceptional.
