19kt gold chain with Pearls and Turquoise
About the Item
Heavy, spectacular gold Byzantine complex chain in 19.02 high kt gold interspersed with creamy white oval cultured pearls and turquoise nuggets.
The pearls have very faint blue/gold overtones and are a high luster. Pearls measure approximately 9mm x 8.65mm. Large turquoise nuggets vary in size with the largest measuring approximately 16.55mm x 15.50mm. The blue is an intense sky blue with black spiderweb veining. While the chain is of Portuguese manufacture the turquoise appears to be of high quality Arizona origin, it looks as if it could be Lander Blue, a now mined out stone. In any event, these are beautiful stones.
The clasp is disguised in the links and does have a safety chain.
The length is 32 3/4” which would allow it to be doubled on many necks. There is no real centerpiece to the necklace, therefore, doubling presents no balance problems.
