Antique Albert Chain
9ct Rose Gold Stamped
Hallmarked Birmingham 1919
Makers Mark W H W Ltd- (W H Wilmot Ltd Birmingham)
Gorgeous, Edwardian, curb link chain. This lovely, double watch chain features matching swivel dog clips at each end- both stamped with the makers mark. The chain is stamped for 9ct on each & every link, including the moveable, 33.4mm T-bar.
There is also an additional length of chain of 18mm which could attach a fob or pendant or be used to add additional length to the chain itself.
Albert chains were traditionally worn to give easier access to a pocket watch in the watchpocket of a waistcoat. The Albert style has T-bar fittings that tucked into a buttoned buttonhole of the waistcoat.
Now more fashionably worn as necklaces by both men & women.
Chain length measures approximately 16 3/4 Inches & width 4.7mm
