About the Item
This beautiful hair chain was created in 1825 ca. It is made out of handwoven brown hair and 14 karat gold. The chain was intended as a token of friendship and sentiment. The hair alternates with twelve finely embossed gold elements. Both ends of the woven hair terminate in gold caps, also finely embossed. The caps are connected to the clasp in the shape of a hand. The hand comes out of a cuff with a grooved ornament.
