About the Item
Exceptional one of a kind, art necklace crafted by Mexican artist and sculptor, Armando Lozano Ramirez circa 1970's. His work is well known and inspired by pre-Hispanic and African influences. This artisan made necklace is of hammered copper bars joined by links and closed with hooks to allow the wearer to adjust the length. This unique jewelry art piece has a whimsical wind chime inspired design, with the statement feature as a beaded bar from which three spectacular shells hang. The full length of the necklace from hooks to the end of the largest shell is 29". The shells range in size from 2.5" to 3.5". The connecting bars are approximately 2" long and 5/8" wide. Great vintage piece even more relevant in today's popular Boho styling. Lightweight to wear and lends great movement. Signed by maker. Gift wrapped.
