A Late Victorian Gold Necklace
About the Item
A late Victorian gold necklace, consisted of thirty-six oval shape links, connected with broader double-row pierced links, with hidden clasp, made in 9ct gold, circa 1890, measuring approximately 38.5 x 0.9cm, gross weight 15.1 grams.
This antique necklace is in very good condition for its age.
This lovely and strikingly modern late Victorian necklace comes from the collection of Bentley and Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This lightweight nine carat gold necklace features elegant links and a hidden clasp, making it the perfect necklace for everyday wear. The bold chain necklace style became popular in the late Victorian period but remains just as wearable today.
