About the Item
red and white, synonym colors for love, that's why we decided to combinate pigeon blood rubies from Mozambique, a more passionate red is hard to find, 3 untreated (not heated) rubies from Mozambique total approx. 1.26 ct (GIL certificate), matching 16 fullcut diamonds approx. 1.24 ct TW (fine white) / VS (very small inclusions), interpreted in a modern way with a cute ball chain made of 18 kt whitegold, hallmarked with the Schmuckzicke Logo, dimensions of pendants 5-8 mm, ball chain 2 mm, length 445 mm, with lobster clasp
To the ruby:
Disputedly, the most expensive colored gemstones worldwide are untreated Burma rubies, preferably in the color pigeon blood red (pure red with a slight blue tinge), but due to the small occurrences, untreated Mozambique rubies are also very rare and expensive as investment gemstones.
In Latin "rubens" stands for red, which is where the term ruby came from.
Mineralogically, the ruby belongs to the corundums with a Mos hardness of 9 (very hard, comes directly after the diamond) and a high light refraction of 1.76
