Long necklace in glass by Isabelle Canovas. All the glass have a different shape. The nature is the subject of the piece, acorn and metal leaves as charms element. Rare and fashionable.
Isabel Canovas was born in Paris during the "Night of the Kings" in 1945. Isabel Canovas is the sister of fabric designer Manuel Canovas. She started working very young as an accessory designer at Hermès, then at Louis Vuitton. After a few years, she joined Christian Dior as artistic director for nearly 10 years. At the age of 37, she opened her own shop with her husband on the very fashionable Avenue Montaigne in Paris. She then opened a shop in 1985 on Madison Avenue in New York, then in 1988 in Madrid. One of his apprentices was Dominique Aurientis, a famous designer of haute couture jewelry in her own right.
Canovas' clientele knew that they never gave discounts or lent coins to anyone, regardless of the celebrity. This marketing strategy allowed its customers to know that accessories would NEVER depreciate over time. His editions for each season were in small quantities, so very rare. His career as a designer ended with the closure of his store in 1992. She is best known for her circus and African creations.
