About the Item
Sumptuous in Sterling fourteen square plaques are openly engraved with berries, flowers and leaves exhibiting the Art Nouveau appreciation of the natural world. This alone would be beautiful but the suspended triangular links make this necklace even more majestic . The necklace was made by hand c. 1900-1910. The Art Nouveau movement was an anti machine age statement. It was an international movement that showed in architecture, art and design and was known for its flowing curving lines and depictions of flowers and fauna. This necklace is the one and only I have seen. It measures 16 1/4 inches and lies flat on the body. Weight 153 grams Excellent condition
