Vintage Navajo Silver and Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace by Eskie Tsosie

About the Item

A magnificent and elegant Navajo Squash Blossom Necklace made by Eskie Tsosie c. 1940 places a display of graceful, handmade squash blossoms around your neck. The blossoms hold natural turquoise.. Rarely do you find a squash blossom necklace this delicate, dignified and lacy. This was likely a child's necklace. Eskie Tsosie is exhibited in the Santa Fe Folk Art Museum, The Wheelright, and museums around the nation. He was first to create the oxbow form. He worked for CG Wallace and Co. who owns many of his pieces.I purchased this for myself and still it holds great significance to me. I bought it from the curator of the Wheelright who let me take it home and wear it so that I could compare it to other necklaces I had seen. She did not tell me it was made by a famous artist until I decided to buy it. 24 beautiful inches. 1.38 inches high
