Georgian Flat Back Garnet Pendant
About the Item
A stunning garnet pendant from the Georgian (1830s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, this beautiful piece displays seven vibrant garnets that hang from a simple gold bail in an elongated design. The garnets have a flat face with facets along the edges, and each displays a fiery red hue which is magnified by their closed, foil backing. The stones rest in a clawed collet setting, the perfect complement to the bold design, and the back features a smoothly polished gold surface. The contrast between the luscious, rich red hues of the garnets paired with the gold setting is absolutely wonderful and this gorgeous pendant would make a perfect addition to any collection.
The pendant hangs approximately 2 3/8" long, is 1 1/4" at its widest, and nearly 1/4" at its deepest.
