About the Item
Paul Amey’s Broome keshi pearl and blue sapphire pendant was crafted from 18K yellow gold. The pearls are from Broome, Western Australia and are 12mm and 5.5mm. The pendant features a natural 3.5mm blue sapphire and also contains three E/F VS SI1 round white diamonds, an 8pt, a 5pt and a 3pt. The pendant has a total weight of 6.7 grams and measures 20mmW x 24mmL. The pendant is sold separately, the chain is not included.
The Broome keshi pearl and blue sapphire pendant was designed and hand crafted by multi award-winning jeweller Paul Amey in Australia. Stamped with his registered makers mark and precious metal marks. The Broome keshi pearl and blue sapphire pendant was designed and completed with over 12 hours labour and finished in 2020. All components are masterfully handcrafted by Paul Amey with no casting or 3D imaging used. Diamond and stone settings were all carried out by Paul Amey.

Paul Amey Jeweller
PAUL AMEY is an ARTIST, DESIGNER, MASTER GOLDSMITH and a fellow of the Gold & Silversmiths Guild of Australia. Paul Amey was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia with one grandfather a watchmaker, the other a jeweller. Jewellery was obviously in his blood! Paul has been a designer and manufacturing jeweller for over 50 years and is well renowned for his work in creating and producing beautiful high-quality jewellery with a dramatic flair completely by hand. Paul is still passionate about designing and producing special pieces. “I have fun with jewellery and so should customers - I give people choices they don’t get from other jewellers.” Paul has seen a great number of design changes and influences come and go, but he says “the fundamentals have always remained the same skilful design, excellent craftsmanship and an attention to detail.” Like the masters of old, using time-honoured techniques, he is creating modern masterpieces. “Each custom piece is crafted completely by hand, no computers, no mass production. My pieces are absolute original works of art, whether they be made from silver, gold or platinum.” Paul has a strong desire and flair for dramatic pieces, an early example being the making of the perpetual Western Australian Gold Swan Award. Also in recognition of his hand craftsmanship was the acceptance of his work by Sotheby's under its Art Category and recently being the recipient of two Precious Metal Awards.
