Victorian 14kt/Sterling Onyx Locket with Diamond Starburst Locket Pendant 0.80ct
About the Item
A spectacular locket/pendant from the late Victorian (ca1900s) era! This gorgeous piece is crafted in solid onyx which is carved into a substantial oval-shaped plaque. Riveted into the center is a sterling-topped 14kt, diamond-encrusted starburst. The eight-pointed star surrounds a raised Rose Cut diamond in a gold, raised closed-back collet setting. The backside of the onyx pendant houses a gold-framed locket, ready to hold a favorite photograph or memento underneath its Rock Quartz Crystal. There is an additional hinge from a secondary locket frame that is no longer present. The pendant is ready to hang from a favorite chain by its mixed metal bail decorated by four additional diamonds. It's a magnificent piece from the Victorian era and would make a great addition to any collection!
The locket hangs approximately 2 1/4" long, is 1 15/16" wide, and is nearly 19/32" deep.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the onyx locket. One diamond is missing from the bail but it is not noticeable. A second hinged window is missing.
