Victorian Old Rose Cut Diamond Mixed Metals Locket

A fabulous locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This large 15kt yellow gold locket pendant is simply stunning and unusual. The piece, which has a shield-like shape, is decorated with a gorgeous Etruscan wirework design and is richly detailed with a three-dimensional look. In the middle of its raised center, sits 2 prong set old Rose Cut diamonds. A complementary fluted bail rests at the top of the piece and is large in size and perfect to fit on a thick Victorian chain. The back of the locket opens to reveal a glass covered place for your favorite photograph. This outstanding piece would look stunning worn on a heavy Victorian watch chain and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
The locket hangs approximately 2 3/8" long, is 1 1/4" at the widest point and 1/2" thick. The interior of the bail measures 3/8" long.
