About the Item

This absolutely stunning example of 1950's vintage design and quality handcraftsmanship simply cannot be recreated. In this particular extravagant example we see the head of the shooting star featuring a .75 carat old european brilliant cut diamond center stone with VS2 clarity and G in color. Surrounding the center stone, and forming the tail of the shooting star are 3.75 carats of diamonds graded VS to SI in clarity and G to H in color. The two bezel set chain extensions connecting and suspending the shooting star design complete the necklace and contain 90 diamonds at .05 carats each adding an additional 4.50 carats of SI clarity and H color diamonds to the piece achieving a total diamond weight of 9.00 carats. The piece is clearly stamped "W" for the maker along with "PLAT" for platinum. However, we could not identify the exact designer who created this fabulous necklace. The necklace is 15.25 inches in length and weighs 28 grams. We can extend the length or shorten the length of the necklace for the client however once altered we cannot accept a return as it will no longer be in it's exact original complete and unaltered condition as we purchased it in. This piece is in excellent condition with no issues whatsoever and ready to wear just as if it walked off the jewelry showroom floor. This beautiful timeless design can be worn for generations to come. This absolutely stunning 1950's necklace is in like new condition and is not a reproduction it is original. This necklace has been appraised by a third party Master Graduate Gemologist for a retail replacement value of $35,000.00 USD. Appraisal is included upon request.
