The Lattice Mirage Reversible Initial Pendant Necklace from Agaro Jewels' Mohur collection is not just a piece of jewelry—it is a modern heirloom that encapsulates the power of self-expression, a tangible representation of your individuality, and a precious keepsake to be cherished for generations to come. A 'mohur' is an ancient coin or something of value, collected over time and preserved to pass on. Paying homage to the rich heritage of Mughal arts, the pendant is inspired by their rich plum embroideries, dense embellishments, and geometric and floral motifs.
What is unique is its reversible design, with one side etched in an intricate lattice-inspired pattern, reminiscent of traditional craftsmanship and artisanal appeal. Turn the pendant around, and you'll be greeted by a miniature floral motif, evoking the splendor of a Mughal garden. The piece is hand-engraved and enameled in Meenakari, hot-fired glass enamel using an ancient 17th-century jewelry making art from the ateliers of the Mughal Court. The jewelry that was produced in these Mughal courts was always made using gold at its very purest (22K and higher), delicately wrought and brilliantly fused with magnificent meenakari, or enameling. It was said even Paris could not paint gold to the standard produced within these Mughal ateliers.
Today, Agaro jewelry is made using these same traditions and techniques passed down through generations. The Agaro artisans, many of whom can trace their families back to the Mughal ateliers, create authentic heirloom pieces with a contemporary twist. Agaro Jewels invites you to embark on a journey of personal storytelling and discover the enchantment of the mohurs.
