Antique Egyptian Scarab Stone Gold Charm Pendant
About the Item
An antique Egyptian scarab charm pendant created in stone and set to a gold bail. In ancient Egypt, scarabs represented resurrection. Like the dung beetle's revolving ball, the scarab became a symbol of birth, life, death, and resurrection. Since the sun was believed to die each night and reborn each morning as a beetle, the scarab took on significant regenerative powers.
Collect your own charms as wearable memories, it has a symbolic and often a sentimental value. This lovely detailed three-dimensional genuine charm is the perfect addition to a charm bracelet, wear on a necklace chain or layered with your other favorite beauties.
The charm is in good condition, due to its old age it looks worn. We cannot determine its origin and the period when it was made, but we do know its quite antique and was attached to a Georgian charms bracelet. The gold is tested as 14 karat gold. The charm comes without the chain.
