Antique Mother of Pearl Gaming Counter Necklace with Gold and Blackened Silver
About the Item
This necklace features an antique mother-of-pearl gaming counter that was carved in China for export to Britain during the late 1700's-early 1800's. The British used these beautiful counters to play games and gamble with. (Please refer to the history of the gaming counter in our photographs.) The mother-of-pearl is finely engraved with Chinese motifs; each gaming counter is unique and set in an 18k yellow gold and blackened silver mounting inspired by the architecture of Ancient China. Handmade by our jewelers in Los Angeles, this necklace is a real conversation piece! Blackened steel chain with 18k yellow gold clasp included.
